"Mikey Pops" LO by DT Sherri Caramico

Hi Scrap Our Stash Friends!
Check out this wonderful layout Designer Sherri Caramico created
inspired by  July's Sketch Challenge:
Sherri said this about her layout:
"What a beautiful sketch we have for you this month at the Scrap Our Stash Blog!!
As always there is a ADDED Challenge with our Sketch - You must use something from your STASH that starts with EACH of the letters in the word “FIREWORKS!”
There is nothing like enjoying a frosty cold Mickey Pop on a HOT summer day! Hubby and I did just that on a trip to Disneyland in May of last year!

I made the Mickey Pops on my new Cricut Explore Air 2 - I added a stick and made them look "frosty" like in the photo by using a White Wink of Stella brush. LOVE how the came out!!

Here are the items I used for the WORD part of the Challenge:
F - Fired Brick Distress Stain, Fossilized Amber, Flair
I - Letter "i" in title
R - Ranger Distress Stains, Red Pen for journaling
E - Echo Park Magical Adventure Collection, Enamel Dots, Ephemera, Letter "e" in title
W - White Wink of Stella - to frost the Mickey Pops
O - Letter "o" in title
R - Red Cardstock, Red Mickey Head Bling
K - Letter "k" in title, and Thickers are "Kal Barteski" Style
S - Letter "s" in title, Simple Stories Say Cheese 2 Bits and Pieces, Stickers

Thanks for stopping by - I hope I haven't made you too hungry! Please try to take a few minutes for yourself this month, and join us in this FUN Challenge over at the Scrap Our Stash Blog! (((HUGS)) ~ Sherri"

Here's a layout from Guest Designer
Ginny Hickmott
inspired by this month's sketch challenge:
Ginny shares this about her layout:
"Hello again, I am back with my layout for July Sketch challenge using the word ‘FIREWORKS’. Here are my stash items I used for each of the letters: -

F: Flowers
I: Ink (paper edges)
R: Rosette
E: Embossing Powder (on title chipboard)
W: Wood
O: Outdoors (photo)
R: Rhinestones
K: Kaisercraft (papers)
S: Seed Beads

I really enjoyed doing this one, my colours were inspired from a colour combo photo I had seen, so after rummaging through my papers I came up with these Kaisercraft papers 50 Cents, these gorgeous patterns look fabulous layered up. I do love to add a little mixed media to my layouts and this one has a little! I created the background ‘circle’ from the sketch with gesso applied with a palette knife. I have a rhinestone circle on top of that. My chipboard title was altered with embossing powder. My edges have all been distressed and inked with Frayed Burlap, and in the background, I have added mists and seed beads. The layout is finished off with the flowers clusters, buttons, rosette and wood icons. The ‘outdoor’ photo is my DD riding a few years ago, we used to trundle through the lanes picking flowers as we went! If you would like to see more details and photos of this layout then please visit my blog here http://shabbypapers.blogspot.co.uk/
I have really enjoyed being a guest designer here at Scrap Our Stash this month and seeing what you are all creating. I hope I have inspired you with this month’s challenges!

Now it's your turn!
Make sure you upload your layout on the side bar before July 29th!

Have a great day!

"All Girl" Layout by Designer Angela Weisbeck

Happy Friday everyone!
Today's incredible feature is the creative work of new
Designer Angela Weisbeck
inspired by the
"Hey! I'm super excited to be sharing my first Scrap Our Stash challenge layout as a DT member with you today!
I chose to use the diagonal line including Numbers, Stars and a Banner. When I picked out these pictures of my daughter rip-sticking, I thought they would go great with a graffiti type layout and then I remembered this kit I got a year or so ago with all these fun spray paint elements and what do you know it even included a skate sticker!
So I started out with my brick background added some of my own misting, cut a strip of starred paper to go across near the bottom and picked out some fun washi to add to the feel of the layout. I did a lot of inking around the edges, hung my banner and finished off with my date and some fun stickers.
I'm excited to see what you do with the challenge!
:) Angela"
And here is a look at the challenge that inspired Ang's awesome page:
